As I studied this marvelous man, I am in awe at his pioneer spirit! To join the Church, then leave his wife and son in England to come to "Zion" show how strong he was. 

As he got off the last ship from his immigration, he was welcomed in Nauvoo by Joseph Smith!

As a carpenter by trade, he worked on the spiral staircase in the Nauvoo Temple.

As he stood in the crowd that listened to the story of the martyr of Joseph Smith, "Brigham Young spoke and myself and others looked up for he was speaking with the voice of the Prophet..." (words directly from his journal.)
